Our Tests
The
Brendan BioScience food allergy test [Patent Pending # 20060275846] was designed to measure both IgG
and Immune Complexes simultaneously which is why our test is more sensitive than other tests which measure only IgG.
We offer Standard Test Panels of common food allergens designed to help a person identify problem foods so that they can be removed from the diet. When these problem foods are
eliminated from the diet, many times the symptoms associated with allergy can be alleviated.
Complement Antigen Test: A More Detailed Description
The serum sample is diluted, added to each well of an ELISA plate which is coated with food antigens. During incubation, antibodies from the sample bind to the food antigens. The plate is washed to remove unbound antibody followed by addition of a conjugate containing both anti-Human-IgG and anti-Human-Complement-C3d-HRP. The conjugates bind to HuIgG antibodies and to C3d which is attached to the IgG contained in the Immune Complex lattice (IC-C3d). The plate is washed to remove the unbound conjugate and substrate is added to visualize the bound HuIgG and IC-C3d. A unique program analyzes the data and generates a report that is easy to understand. The foods that have a bar which extends above the baseline are considered positive and should be
eliminated from the diet. Elimination of the offending foods from the diet should help reduce the symptoms associated with a particular condition after a few weeks.
In addition to the Standard Complement Antigen Test Panels, we also offer custom allergy panels to suit our customer's needs that utilize the same dual measurement technology.
